Sammy's is a team of
professionals passionate about what we and our customers eat everyday.
Whether you are planning
your wedding, a cocktail and hors d'oeuvre reception, a summer golf
outing or an all day meeting, Sammy's believes the food should be
flavorful, colorful, and beautiful to the eye. We love when our customers
can describe a meal they enjoyed years past at one of our events.
In our twenty plus year
history we have developed and perfected thousands of menu items.
Sammy's describes its cuisine as Contemporary American. Contemporary
America today is very diverse ethnically. At Sammy's, we interpret
ethnic foods using the classical food preparation techniques.
Sammy's Chefs and can
provide Kosher and Indian Cuisine. We work directly with a Kosher
Chef for strict Orthodox events.
Fresh herbs are
an important tool for our chefs in garnishing, but most importantly
in developing the flavor of a dish.
Sammy's soups will
wow your guests. A few of our personal favorites are cauliflower
soup, wild mushroom soup, seafood chowder, cream of garlic soup,
and butternut squash soup, just to name a few.
Sammy's salads can
be as simple as a classic Caesar salad or mixed mesclun greens with
balsamic vinaigrette to crisp Spinach greens with a warm bacon dressing,
to tuna nicoise.
Our salads are accompanied
with hard rolls and grilled pita triangles.
Sammy's meats are
the finest cuts--usually boneless, except for rack of lamb and veal
chops. Our seafood is cocktail quality. We love salmon, sea bass,
walleye, halibut, as well as shellfish. Our Sammy's Seafood Raw Bar
is legendary: gulf shrimp, Alaskan king crab legs, clams, mussels,
and oysters, as well as smoked specialty fish including smoked salmon
and smoked and peppered trout.
Vegetables are
freshly prepared: steamed asparagus with lemon vinaigrette, fresh
green beans with wild mushrooms and roasted red peppers, and julienne
summer sautéed vegetables.
Sammy's potato dishes are
incredible, made with real butter and cream, and include garlic mashed
potatoes, scalloped potatoes, sweet potato hash browns and herb roasted
red skins.
Our sauces are
made with homemade stock reductions and have incredible flavor whether
accompanying meat, poultry, fish or pastas. Raviolis, Tortellini,
penne and bow tie pastas--whether with vegetables or shellfish--will
be hits with your guests.
And we love risotto at
Sammy's, as will your guests.
If palette cleansers are
of interest, our favorite is our opal basil...a beautiful pink homemade
sorbet.
If some of your guests
are vegetarians or vegans, we have even developed specialty
dishes for them as well.
Sammy's foods are very
flavorful, and only real desserts hold up to preceding courses.
Some of Sammy's classic desserts include our New York style cheesecake,
marjolaine with crème anglaise, chocolate almond torte, bavarians,
mousses, poached fruits dipped in chocolate, madeleine, crème
brulee, and wine gellees.
We have tried to describe
some of our classic, favorite foods, but as the menus above describe,
our chefs enjoy creating and - most importantly - detailing foods
so they look great and taste great.
