Sarah Benedict House
3751 Prospect Avenue
Cleveland, OH 44115
If you love history, architecture and renovation, then the
Sarah Benedict House and Garden on Prospect Avenue will be
perfect for your special event.
Serving as the headquarters of the Cleveland Restoration
Society and Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern
Ohio, the Sarah Benedict House is perfect for any event that
deserves a touch of historical elegance.
Built in 1883 for Ms. Sarah Rathbone Benedict, the Sarah
Benedict House was renovated by Maxine Goodman Levin and
the Cleveland Restoration Society in 1997.
This Queen Anne Style brick edifice has a classic Victorian
feel on the outside and is dressed in Arts and Crafts interior
layouts. Catch a glimpse of what fashionable downtown
living was like at the turn of the nineteenth century on
historic upper Prospect Avenue!
The Sarah Benedict House features four breakout rooms, a
grand staircase and a modern kitchen area. The courtyard
and Volunteers' Garden adjacent to the house offer
picturesque Victorian landscapes, futuristic fountain art
and a brick seating area above the manicured lawn. The
Sarah Benedict House and Garden will hold up to 300 guests.
The maximum standing room in the garden is 270, or 100 guests
seated.
