The Great Lakes Science Center is an ideal wedding reception location for engineers, scientists, teachers, electricians or any bride or groom with a passionately curious mind. The Atrium, Promenade and Dome are very elegant spaces which can accommodate ceremonies and picture taking with some of Cleveland's favorite landmarks as your backdrop, as well as your reception. Only one wedding reception is allowed per day. Use all 165,000 square feet or select only the space that you need.

Events of any size can be coordinated at Great Lakes Science Center, the largest event thus far being the National Basketball Association's Welcome Reception, which hosted 6,000 guests. The Titanic and Body World exhibits hosted thousands. With a 500 car attached garage and the Cleveland Port Authority, the space is available for all the logistic needs of large events. Moving in and moving out is an expertise of the Great Lakes Science Center staff.

Planning your organization's holiday event? The Great Lakes Science Center is proud to present "Holiday on the Harbor" with an ice skating rink, ice skate rentals, a refreshment stand and Polar Express inspired decoration. Holiday on the Harbor is available for your private event, or enjoy the falling snow while dancing and dining in the Atrium overlooking North Coast Harbor.

Meetings and conferences are ideal at the Great Lakes Science Center due to the large number of grand spaces and small meeting rooms. Bring your group together, then break out into smaller groups. Use exhibits to inspire discussion or for creative relaxation. Multiple theater presentation options exist, including the Reinberger Auditorium, the OMNIMAX Theater and Under the Dome.
